Dear All,

Attached is a very useful tool for analysis of coverage in google earth. In the moment, just for Huawei, but you can adapt to another vendor.

Tool allows the analysis of coverage for:

GSM (Timing Advance from M2000)
WCDMA (Trace from LM)
WCDMA (CHR - PCHR Analyser)

Should be created a database with information of cells, such as: Name of the Sector, Azimuth, Latitude, Longitude and Cell ID.
Attached examples of files to be used and an example KMZ.

I lost the quick guide, but for any questions, let me know.

Hi Friend,

Hi,

For use this tool is very easy. Follow a quick guide.

25202

1 - Choose the export Type. Timing Advance for GSM Technology e Propagation Delay for WCDMA.
1.1 - For Timing Advance - Collect on M2000 and export for a file .xls all counters of Number of MRs based on TA per TRX and Radio Link Failure Measurement based on TA per TRX. Attached example (Timing Advance Export.xls).
1.2 - For Propagation Delay data, we have 2 options. Do a trace on LMT or get PCHR Logs.
Attached example of CHR data(CHR.txt).

2 - Browse the export file.

3 - Browse the data with cells informations (Sector name, Azimuth, Lat, Long and Cell ID)

PS: I recommend assembling the data into Excel and then copy and paste in notepad.

The Cell id must contain 5 numbers.
Example: If the cell ID sector is "1", complete with "00001".

4 - Push "Start" for generate the file .kmz.

Any doubt, let me know.

Kindly.

Hi Agenov,

Independent. For Ran10, 11 and 12 the files (Trace from LMT e CHR data) are the same.

Just make sure that the files are in the same pattern of the files already attached.

Hi my friend,

Follow the steps for TA analysis.

Step 1 (Export Data) - Collect data on M2000 > Query Result.

2520625205

Then, choose all counters. IMPORTANT: Check the counters orders (First: Number of MRs, Second: Radio Link Failures)

25207

Step 2 (Cells data base) - Create the data base with cells informations. IMPORTANT: Create the data base first in excel then copy and paste on notepad.Creation on excel. VERY IMPORTANT: Check the Cell ID. You have write the cell id with 5 number. e.g: For CI "11", write CI "00011"

25208

Then, copy and paste on notepad.

25209

Then, on tool select the first file (step 1) for propagation data and second file (Step 2) for Database - Physical Parameters. Then, just push button "start".

Let me know the result.

Hi,

Here in my work, we adapt the export data from E******* to Huawei's export. It's simple because TA measures are very similar in both.

About the Lat/Long, i don't understand you. What you mean ?

- 27,0000 or - 27.0000 hasn't difference into the data base, you can put the both.

About the format it's very simple, just you adapt the E******* to HW counters.

Follow the Huawei Counters:

PS: I believe which in E******* don't have Radio Link Failure, this case put the "0".

i think this is because he forgets the earth is round, and the distance between two points should be converted to great-circle distance.

Hi,

Please, correct me if I'm wrong in the formula.

y = (Math.Sin(((Azimuth / 180) * 3.14159265358979))) * (Distance)

Hi, it seems that kml display polygon by lat/lon track, so we can draw from the start point (site location) to the next, and so on:

Formula:
lat2 = asin(sin(lat1)*cos(d/R) + cos(lat1)*sin(d/R)*cos(θ))

lon2 = lon1 + atan2(sin(θ)*sin(d/R)*cos(lat1), cos(d/R)−sin(lat1)*sin(lat2))

θ is the bearing (in radians, clockwise from north);
d/R is the angular distance (in radians), where d is the distance travelled and R is the earth’s radius

Hi,

Please, correct me if I'm wrong in the formula.

y = (Math.Sin(((Azimuth / 180) * 3.14159265358979))) * (Distance)

Hi,

It's very simple, see the figure below.
If the sectors don't not appear into the google it's because the tool does not find them in the database. This case, check the statitics in propagation analyser.

Sectors and coverage look.
They all came with base cell data and coverage export from chr logs.
in the attached files you can find sample exports.
You can use P-CHR tool to make coverage analyze exports from Huawei CHR log files.
and Dabreulima gave a cell file template.

That coverage look is the one I want to display. How do I do it.

Did you see the picture on the 1st post of this thread by Mr. dabreulima (http://www.finetopix.com/member.php?56243-dabreulima)? Thats the one I want.

Can you post your coverage picture that you tested with Huawei data?

This is my result:

So you are supposed to have 2 kml files right? 1 for TA and the other for propagation delay

Im using Mr Daubrelima's files and am getting this error when generating the propagation delay one

Hi, This is very usfull tool. It would make sense to get some detail guideline on how to use it. The text file included gives the site location info. What type sequence file need to be included to get the propagation distribution? what parameters must included to load in a file - propagation info.

Thank you,

hi there,

this tool is really useful and is really well made, congratulations. i'm trying to use it with the data from NetAct, and i have one problem. NetAct doesnt sort the TA data with so many TA ranges as in the program. It will implement only 10 TA ranges, which in my case are 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4, 5 or 6, 7 to 12, 13 to 23, 24 to 35, 36 to 48. I tried to modify the sample TA file and remove the other ranges, but it shows Error 13, the database is not in correct format (more or less this is the message). how can i resolve this thing please? it would be very helpful, any help would be highly appreciated.

thanks very much
regards

Hi guys,

What about using another tool called Agileto for the same purpose and even more? You have everything there: Help file which contains step to step guidance as well as a DEMO_PROJECT containing some samples databases. You may use it for the Drive Test Analysis/Optimisation into Google Earth and MapInfo as well as optimisation based on the Call Traces (supporting E/// GPEH *.tab traces files). You may have representation of the 3G/2G networks into Google Earth and KPIs too. And more than that, in case you are not aware please notice that there is Agileto GOLD EDITION which is now 100% free. More details on the link below:

http://www.agileto.com/goldedition.html

I hope you will enjoy it!
