Dear,

Thank you for the presentation, I still have some questions, if you don't mind:

TP analysis: what's TP and why you don't use TA for calculating distance to cell
Neighboring Analysis: the formula to calculate distance between two cells: sqrt(lat1-lat2)^2 + sqrt(lon1-long2)^2
is not valid if you are using latitude and longitude formats, you can use instead the formula attached in the excel file.

Hi,

There is no TA in 3G
for the distance if you use decimal format of coordinates it is giving exactly the right distance..

there is no TA in 3G.
but tehre is PRACH propagation delay information which can provide us similar info like TA.
or at least it can provide an estimation of the ave cell range.

Hi, could you explain where is this formula come from?
Distance(m)=(TP+117)*234

I found in other thread 1 TP =234.

Thanks

Hi;

yes TP1 is 234m but, there is also TP0 which means 117, it is coming from the formula that Ue is using to calculate and report the TP value, formula contains Wave speed and the time to reach the Node-B. I dont remember it exactly but it was in huawei internal doc.

thanks
