ALU Optical Management System Administrator Course TR4531.
This course has the following objectives:
- Demonstrate a verbal knowledge by defining or listing the attributes of various general administration tasks,
including administrator logins, installation parameters, and administration subsystem activities.
- Compare and contrast the interaction of licenses, installation parameters, and user role profiles regarding
the visible effect on the management system and the allowable tasks on the management system.
- Demonstrate knowledge of user role profiles and user accounts by identifying associated concepts and performing
user role profile and user account activities.
- Identify key administration activities associated with Licensing, System Backups, and System Security Logs.
- Demonstrate knowledge of management system processes including application and web server processes.
- Execute system backup procedures to start a backup, read and write to tape, and recover and restore a database.
- Compare and contrast command-line tool usage.
- Differentiate Northbound Support features of the Northbound TL1 Alarm Interface, the TMN Integration Module,
and the TMF814 CORBA Interface.
- Explain the rationale for the Disaster Recovery configuration and the system administrator’s role in Disaster Recovery
- Identify the meanings of platform alarms
- Differentiate between daily and periodic system maintenance activities
