Hey all,

i am looking for a documentation of the Huawei CHR - similar to E******* GPEH. I have searched all threads but could not find anything.

Thanks. I knew about Actix and Xeus. We wanted to integrate CHR in our own tool - so thats why a documentation would be great.

Thanks for you information, i just see on actix Release Notes 12-14-2011, we found that actix can support with CHR also like picture bellow:

but i try to put CHR in there but cannot work, if you have successful on that please share you experience, but i think maybe it need license for process it.

Aexio Xeus can decode only CHR WCDMA.

For Nastar have ready for Med, but OMstrar also can decode it too.

Can you share a CHR sample file for trying to test it with other tolls? Some members could try if they have a valid input file...

We have been trying to decode it as well, but their encoding is a little tricky I guess,
Reverse engineering is (STILL) in progress..

This is what we have found out so far :

Bit Padding is done (value seems to be 20, but unsure)
Some messages repeat continuously (once in 4 times).

Let me know if you have any inputs.. We are struggling as well :(

- Aexio xeus (Kean Chan)

- for Huawei tool

there is a software called LMT - Insight Plus 6800, any one has it? can it read PCHR as well?

Hi Road2nowhere! Great document but it does not show how to decode the CHR file. I want to write troubleshooting procedures based on GPEH and CHR that cannot be accomplished with Xeus/Nastar/TEMS.

- Second (and tricky) step is mapping. You will need official HWI mapping file for this and lovely HWI keeps changing this mapping. R11, R12, R13 has different mappings and even within the same release the different versions change.

I personally am not a coder, but I did this before. It is really challenging but it worth all the effort at the end.

GPEH/CTR of E******* is perferctly described, many (all?) operators managed to parse it.
It is gold mine for data.

On the other side, I gave not yet seen any usable Huawey specs.
Once they mentioned some rediculus number (price for API...).
