Help understanding L2 channels in 3GPP

Hi all,

Does anyone have any material that could help me understand the concept of physical/transport and logical channels in LTE?

I have the diagrams that show how different channels are mapped but I am having a bit of difficulty conceptualising the idea. Are they dedicated resources of the physical signals to carry information??
