what is IEEE 802.11P? it is the standard to add wireless access in vehicular environments (WAVE) it is highly used in Intelligent transportation systems (ITS) applications where it is used in vehicle to vehicle communications (V2V) and vehicle to side-roads infrastructure ( which could be cellular network or different access points) (V2I) works on 5.9GHZ band

it is a very interesting topic as it will be the ground for dedicated short range communications (DSRC) when fully applied transportation will be 10 times safe and interesting

here are some good papers regarding this topic hope you will like it

1)A Survey of Handoff Schemes for Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks
2)Supporting Handover in an IEEE 802.11p-Based Wireless Access System
3)Real-world Evaluation of IEEE 802.11p for Vehicular Networks
4)Estimation of a successful beacon reception probability in vehicular ad-hoc networks
5)Performance Analysis of Real-Time Multimedia Transmission in 802.11p based Multihop Hybrid Vehicular Networks
6)Characterization of DSRC Performance as a Function of Transmit Power

also if any1 want any paper regarding this topic do not hesitate to ask:D
