I think overhead just look like overshooting in 2G system, CMIIW ? and this file prepared by Fu Hin...i know this smart guy....

David... this is not exactly like overshooting. in any CDMA system there should be adequate overlap between adj. cells. But if there is not adequate overlap we will see the too much resources being taken for SHO and we might see congestion for other users. Therefore, bringing down the capacity.

While optimizing antennas is allways good: watch for lost coverage, especially indoors.
On the other hand, quite some improvement can be gained by tuning
SHO histerezys and timers.
Of course, radio link lost stats shall be observed, not to over-optimize.
I would love to have decent per-relation parameters, but my vendor does not support
it per relation.

Any structured approach to real optimization of SHO?
