Hi all,

you can find here a method to collect data (Rxqual,Rxlevel,TA, MS power, BS power) if you don't have a drive test tool:

Materials needed:
- a mobile phone
- a GPS (like used during site survey)
- Mapinfo tool
- OSS PMR tool

Methods:
- adjust BSC time according GPS time
- Record PMR for the mobile phone
- Activate trace data on the GPS
- Export PMR measurement to excel
- Export coordinates data (longitude, latitude) to excel (using Garmin Software if you use Garmin GPS)
- Combine measurement data and coordinates data in Excel.
- Use mapinfo to do the Coverage Report.

Advantage: you can have Uplink data with this method.

Hope it will be usefull.

This is useful, but only for single cell investigation.

No, you use PMR-MTR so you have all the cell where Mobile phone camp on.

Yeah... MTR... :) ofcourse... how stupid of me... E******* stuff...
Interesting idea... but combining all this data and translating into Mapinfo... vauuu.. looks like a lot of work. And when I think of MapInfo ... brrr... :)
Doesn't TEMS (and/or some other tools) support import of such measurements so you can analyze them in parallel with real DT ?

Thanks
D.

Hi,

Use Excel function Vlookup (RECHERCHEV in french) to combine the 2 files.

I've done it as example on the attachment.

After you can easely open it into mapinfo. :):):):):):):)
