Hi Experts,

Anyone could share me the relation of SF to data rate please?

For R99 Case(Test device Nokia6121/ Nokia 6120):

SF8: Throughput range (????? to ????)
SF16:
SF32:
SF128:

For HSDPA Case(Test device Nokia6121/ Nokia 6120):

CQI (1-5): Throughput range (???? to ????)
CQI (6-10):
CQI (11-15):
CQI (16-20):
CQI (21-25):
CQI (26-30):

thank you

Hi.

The range of SF is

from 4 to 512 for downlink (see clause 5.3.2 table 12 TS 25.211)
from 4 to 256 for uplink (see clause 5.2.1 table 1 TS 25.211).

This customized ppt will be very helpful for R99...
Later i will post for HSDPA

If this will be helpful give some reputation

for HSDPA the throughput also despends on the available codes, do you mean the throughput range from 1 codes to 15 codes for each CQI?

yes, i would looking forward to know the throughput range for codes for each CQI values.

CQI is channel quality indicator like Ec/Io in R99. There is no direct formulated relation between CQI & Throughput nor Ec/Io & Throughput (R99).
But SF,Modulation Scheme & Channel Number has direct relation with Throughput.
For sample
HSPA Rel 5
SF=16, Modulation Scheme=16QAM ,Channel usage Number=15
Throughput is calculated by following way
Symbol Rate (Per Channel)=Chip Rate/SF=3840kbps/16=240kbps
Bit Rate=Symbol Rate * 4 (as 16 QAM)=240*4=960kbps
Bit Rate for all Channel =960*15=14400kbps=14.4 Mbps
This is how we get HSPA (Rel 5) maximum speed ~ 14 Mbps (if we maintained best channel quality like CQI > 25)
