I have not come across GSM CHR myself. I believe if there is CHR for the GSM, it would be automatically collected like the WCDMA CHR and store in the RNC BAM.

The GSM CHR file may have [GCHR] instead of [UCHR].

You can use M2000 to collect all information such as KPI and CHR in most BSC Huawei. All data in RNC BAM almost are encrypted and difficult to read.

In latest releaseas R12 and following they changed the conception. Now you have CHR (collecting drops during mobility) and CALLFAULT (collecting call setup access failures and call drops ).
