Does anyone have the guidelines to design Hospital In building solutions?

What parameters design DAS passive solution for Hospitals?

Hospitals are just another building so solution will be the same as any other. Only differences may be around the X-Ray rooms, if you want these covered you will need an antenna inside each room as they are well shielded, and no antennas inside any high dependency (intensive care) units.

what is your proposed normal range of EIRP excluding antenna gain for 2G and 3G?

This depends on the height of the antenna. Idea is to limit the power at the mobile, GSM spec is -43dBm and UMTS spec is -25dBm. However most people seem to accept that -30 dBm will be OK for GSM. This allows for a low antenna with 1 metre separation a max EIRP of +1.5dBm at 900 and +7.5dBm at 1800. For UMTS max power would be +9dBm. Don't get too hung up with these though.

From my previous experience; just keep away from the X-ray rooms;operations....also the adminstration will prevent antenna installation in these palces.you can focus on main corridors & recepitions only.

Well i need some documented prove to show it to my client. As they are forcing me to propose antennas inside Corridors and lobbies near to ICU and X-ray department

Might help as it shows that hospitals in the US use inbuilding systems.
