I thinks it is not possible, because CDR data it is signalling, not information. But anyway i believe that possible to read sms only if you work on sms center, or has direct connection to sms center. :)

Sms is ss7 message and it can be read on smsc or if you tap in to ss7 links connecting to map inerfaces, then you need to decode it...
