Dear TXN freinds


small query ,

1)how is ODU powered in MW system?
2)what is the technique used through iF cables for transmission of Data and power

Hi
1-There is interfacs cart insid the ODU and another on in the IDU which composid the telymery signal and dc power as in figur
330mhz to odu tx
140mhz to idu rx
5.2mhz from odu
17.5mhz to odu
48 v dc
all coposite in one rf cable as picture
2-the data between IDU and ODU is a fsk modem may be 388 kb/s

Thansk for reply but my query is regarding not structure or cards

it is how it is Transported through IF cable i.e Data +Power (for working ODU)

Yes, but strangely, 140 MHz is so commonly used for Rx (from ODU to IDU) IF signal.
Somewhere you don't have IF signal at all (think Siemens does it like that in SRAL XD?, also in certain NERA radios), and somewhere you don't have IF signal just for Tx (NERA Evolution).
