Hello All,

I have just started using TEMS 12.0.1 few weeks ago and I have been facing some challenges. Sometimes, TEMS will not be connected(it will be showing No License) despite the fact that the dongle is plugged. At times GPS will not be stable (connecting and disconnecting).<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

My system's spec is as shown below:

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
AMD Phenom(TM) II Quad-Core Mobile Processor P960 (1.8GHz, 2MB L2 Cache)
FREE Upgrade to 6GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
640GB 5400RPM Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support
Dolby(TM) audio + Altec Lansing speakers
Please, what can I do to this problem? Your kind response would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

TEMS 12.0.1 has some bugs. The best thing you can do is to upgrade to TEMS 12.0.4 and then try again.

As for GPS, if you have good GPS coverage and instability issues, the problem might be GPS driver. You can also try another GPS just to see how it is working.
Another reason could be the use of 64bit Windows.

Hi Rooster,

Did you mean that 32bit windows can perform better?
As per the GPS, I have tried another one but no difference.

Thanks.

I mean that there could be a compatibility issue with your GPS and Windows 7 x64.

Is the GPS stable if you connect it to another application ?

If possible test everything on XP SP3, if the update to 12.0.4 doesn't work, and if everything works it is a Win 7 x64 bit issue.

I got the same problem using old phones in TI12 and Win7 64bit, because TI12 is running only on 32 bit systems (up to Win 7) and all the drivers are made for 32bit. I installed Windows Vista 32bit and everything is ok now.

well , i use TI 12 with SEw995 and PCTEL in W7 x64, sometimes after 2 hour, TI crash.
It must true that TI12 works fine with win x32.
