3G-2G PS longwinded HO problem!

Hi all,

is any familiar with a problem where PS HO from 3G -> 2G is happening.


Where CellChangeOrder procedure was analyzed on the basis of provided logfiles and from signalling point of view it is correct, there aren’t any regular failures/rejects/etc.

From radio point of view everything looks OK, after receiving CellChangeOrderFromUtran UE performs immediately synchronization, gets radio resources in GSM, performs LAU/RAU. It takes 12seconds, which is reasonable value (see graph below and attached signalling flow).

What is disturbing is very long wait time for user data transfer reestablishment, which is ca 50 seconds (see graph attached).

Hi,

vendor is NSN for NODE B, RNC and SGSN, chart is taken from Netact tool.
