Cell in SGSN definition

Do we have any cell level definition in SGSN?
for example cell id if each cell

yes

we should have the cell defnition along with RAC definitions.same is used for cell reselection in GPRS and 2g-UMTS cell reselctions.

Sorry for the wrong reply......


In SGSN there is now cell defnitions required , same is taken from the BSS entity as BVCI -BSSGP Virtual connection identifer so the same has the CGI+RAC assosciated with it.

so there is no need t define cellids!

There are LAC+RAC definition on SGSN E///. This information got from BSC/RNC
