Have you checked the PCH throughput and Paging SR(Need help from Core) in your network?
In 3G, it should not exceed 4kbps per LAC if im not mistaken.

as i know, for sms > 160 character will be sending on sequel, its mean more time to deliver, isn't?

Cococrunch thanks for hint I will try to verify this too. I was under impression that problem could be on SMSC side while short SMS is going out without problem but longer not.

if you have protocol analyzers in your SMSC, MSC and STP. try making a test SMS to isolate the problem. You have to send a long message towards the test subscriber. In MSC side you should see a lot of MT forward SM message request and reply. If you have time, try sending me your traces so I could interpret it for you.:lol

Hi

SMS is in a pattern of 160 Characters so even long it will break same to blocks of 160 and send .....

so pls check wether the full SMS is delivered ....else has to check follwoing points.

1)Signalling load of SMSC
2)No of SMS Pushes /sec
3)Your Radio CCCH configuration.

Thanks
