ZTE GSM co_bcch confusion

hi frens,

we have launched co-bcch and in a great confusion about the subcell handover algorithm (having option 1. handover based on pathloss and TA 2. concentric handover). when we tried option 1 as recommended by zte, the traffic share is so low between subcells that we had very high congestion in the cells and when we tried option 2, the traffic share is as we have expected and all the congestion are gone.

the problem is that the zte doc doesnot have any good description regarding the parameters and why the option 1 is not working as they have recommended.

please help me about in this confusion :confused:

Not aware of the related ZTE channel assignment algorithm and Handover parameter settings, but general strategy is

1. Operators set Subcell handover based on pathloss setting only
2. In case 900 subcell is carrying high traffic and becoming congested means pathloss settings are too much aggressive for 900. Trial to change the parameters by +- 15 dB and check the impact of traffic and adjust accordingly
