Guys,

Any idea what is MinPwrMax,MinPwrRI for E******* WCDMA? What is its significance?

Any ideas how to improve retainability by parameter optimization?

If we change any parameter, for how many days,do we need to wait to see the results/improvements? Any guess.

Hi snabeel03,

MinPwrMax and MinPwrRI(i think this is interRate) are just used on estimation of RL rate during power control. Read detail on Capacity management for detailed explanation of the Relationship between Bit Rate (bps) and Maximum Downlink Transmitted Code Power (dB).

In terms of retainability which service are you pertaining since different operators have different targets and strategy per service that they optimize.

For parameter changes one week duration should be the minimum duration to check for network impact.

Thanks.

I am talking about voice retainability more than 98%.

This is the dilemma voice centric network management is a thing of the past.

There is a paradigm shift now and the battle for service provider for customer is on a data driven market.

With the advent of social networking people wants to be connected 24/7.

So ultimately as worldwide data shows we should be more focused on data optimization and strategies.

But to answer your question none the less :D

It's a combination of solid network planning, physical optimization of coverage, power control optimization and inter-RAT traffic balancing.

change trial parameter not over 3days, depend on your network strategy : still low util so put the value higher
