Tipical RAC numbers - How many digits?

Hi all experts. UMTS LAC - RAC plan

I need to set the values for RAC and lac, planning for future grow. In the books specify 2 octets for LAC and 1 octet for RAC, but in E******* alex, i only find rac (0..154).. lac (1..47)

Somebody can give me some light for the right amount of digits for a RAC and for the LAC

in my network :

RAC : 1-2 digit
LAC : 3-4 digit

depend on your planning decide, my suggestion is used this very effeciency, we will running single RAC and LAC but back to signalling load capacity with equipment capablelity

so is better to start with 2 digits rather that 1 and then change. What do you think?

start with 1 digit first, i think on small area not a wider just litle number of RAC, we try using single RAC to decrease routing area update (RAU)
