It really depends on your traffic load. 1 CE will consume one AMR call in DL/UL. So for 16 you can not have more than 18 max users since DL CEs will be limitation factor in this case and we are not talking about any R99 PS in DL that consumes much more traffic depending on the rate...You have to do some initial dimensioning/evaluation...not an easy task. The most of the CEs are consumed for UL because of HSUPA but for sure this number in DL is quite low.

Thx for answer, i will check with vendor to buy licenses for CE DL.

Another question we can pass the voice over HSDPA and not R99 ? have you test it Pls ?

Dude

You dont have GSM? With the HSDPA Users unlimited is best to carry only PS in 3G and let CS to GSM.

Agree with agenov.
You should ask the BSS team to add more WBPP board to increase your CE number.

Yes, there is such optional RAN feature provided by Huawei but honestly never test it. if you have some observation of this functionality please share with us....

All the best

Actually : if you past voice into HSDPA rather than R99, it's mean more resource will be uses more higher that could make some low throghput on HSDPA. Better you minimalized this except user in MULTIRAB. Thanks to Huawei that make efficiency with CE, special CE only dedicated to HSDPA that separeted BBU with user R99, if normal condition (not on very load traffic), CE utilization very safe.

Hi zeezzoo,

nodeB license can be viewed executing DSP LICENSE mml command on the nodeB of your interest. You can see also this information from License --> NodeB License Management M2000 menu.

For RNC, try CHK LICUSAGE (i don't remember now for sure, but try and follow the autocompletion suggestion)

Best regards,
Juanjo
