IRAT Failure

Hi Guys,
Can you kindly explain if IRAT HO is fail in HUwei is it a call drop ?? when IRAT failure results in drop if its not always a drop. Which Counter to indicate it ?

IRAT failure may not always result in a drop as UE may return back to 3G (If 3G improves) and continue and eventually release connection normally. IRAT failure is a specific KPI which you should be able to see for IRAT.

It depends on the type of IRAT HO fail (Preparation or excution) and the 3G coverage.

In my experience, ~ 70% of IRAT HO fail results in call drop ( correlation between call drop and IRAT performance graphe)

Hi,
So to correlate IRAT HO fail and call drop, I suggest to proceed like this :
- first you have to use M2000 .
- now try to use these three couter (ran12 for me -- look for equivalent counter in other) : VS.RAB.AbnormRel.CS, IRATHO.AttOutCS and IRATHO.SuccOutCS.

if a VS.RAB.AbnormRel.CS coincide with a IRAT HO fail ( attempt <> succ )
so the drop is related to IRATHO fail ;)
