We have a trial for this issue, we activated in a small region and making some drive test and investigate the tems logs about it.
Results:
DCR is improved, but only in counter based. Because in tems log we see that ms sends CM_Reestablishment Request but Core Side rejects this because of Reject Cause : Cause value : (32) Service option not supported. Then Call is blocked. So DCR is improved but a CS Failure occurs. Subscriber perspective it is a drop. I tested as a subscriber.

in 3GPP it is because Network has some configuration about call re-establishment. We have checked MSC side this feature has been activated, in HLR also same. In BSC is also same.

Do you know about Core Side parameters for GSM Call re-establishment?

Hi
We have an NSN 3G network which has RRC Re-establishment activated since mid 2010. We see since then a linear growth in the number of RRC Re-establsihments. The cells that suffer from RRC Re-establishment are distributed all over the network and tehre seems ot be any correlation between these cells. Question: does anyone expreinced similar trend in their network and do you hvae any idea what the root cause might be?
