Hello guys.

We are using E*******.

We have an SDCCH congestion problem on 1 site. Yesterday in an area , there are like 25 cells have high SDCCH congestion. We are suspecting from power problem.

But how can we observe power problem ? In oss are there any commands for it or from BO how can we see it ? Do you have any ideas about this issue ?

And also if it is not power problem , what can it be ? Because at those cells there is SDCCh congestion only yesterday. Before that day , there was no SDCCH congestion. We just want to learn what is the problem.

hi if u want to check outage in suspected cell check for following counters..

TDWNACC
BDWNACC

these two counters five downtime of TCH & BCCH respwctvly,,

ok i checked those cells but there is only 2 sites have downtimes according to TDWNACC parameter.

there is another problem i guess.

yup..there must be some other problem ...are these sites on boudry of a PLMN..??

interesting part is this... they are not on BSC or PLMN border or near border.

are there any parameters that i can check if there is any power degredations on these sites ? do you know ?

check for counter CAVAAC..divide it by 360... its gives u the available SDCCH in a cell.. check whether SDCCH capacity decreased or not.. during that hour..also check for the traffic using CCALLS.. whether they incrased than their normal trnd during that hour..!!

ok i looked for this parameter (CAVAAC) and there were values like these in these cells;

31.76
15.96
7.98
7.98
7.98
7.98
7.98
7.97
7.96

7.96
7.96
7.96
7.96
7.96
7.95
7.94
7.94
7.94

normally values should be like 8 , 16 or 32 right ? what might cause this degredations on these SDCCH availibity ?

dear listen..idealy they should be..but it not goin to 7.94 not goin to create much prob...i dont thnk so that theere is any degradtion on capacity end..do trending ..compare cavaac every hour value for whole the day. then u can get an idea whether it get decreased in that hou r or not....check stats more thorougly.

actually all those cells are ok now. there are no SDCCH congestion on those cell right now. but i just want to know what caused to that problem yesterday. it's really weird.

thanks btw for spending your time to answer my questions.
