Hi experts,
Access TP is a feature for huawei, indicates the propagation delay of the signaling access during a call.

Does any one know it ? and what the equivalent in Km.
( ex : Access TP = 2 --> ? km )
Is there a counter for it ?
many thanks :)

Hi Fahim,

There's no counter in Huawei for the propogation delay ( not like NSN)
But you can get this information from CHR using PCHR or Nastar tool.
1 TP= 240 m

In RAN13 there is such counters and 1 delay is equal to 78m. You can get this information from LMT trace and then import in nastar or play little with xls.

I did not see any such feature or counter in RAN13 performance Counters list. If anyone have more details about such feature or counter ..pls share... like counter ID and feature ID

Have you checked "RRC connection setup measurement" in M2000? one more thing - this is not special feature!

I could not find any such counters. If there is any counter related to propagation delay in "RRC Connection Setup measurement", please share.

its bit complicated to get TP value comparing get TA data in 2G just query oss

Hi,

1、We can use TP module in Nastar software to draw TP result
2、 In 3GPP 21905.860,it use the name 'Propagation Delay'。 But in Huawei, We internal use 'TP' which is come from the noun 'TA' in GSM。 And TP is more understanded by our customers.
3、You can find the definition of TP in 3GPP 25.435, it's length is 10bits.
If the cell radius is less than 60km, the precision of TP is 3bits.
If the cell radius is 60km~120, the precision of TP is 6bits.
If the cell radius is more than 120km, the precision of TP is 9bits.
4、 From the 3GPP Technical Specification, one frame is 10ms and it incluse 15 Time Slot , one time slot include 2560 Chips. So that one chip equal 78.125 meter.
