MT while in packet mode(2G)

Hi Guys,

Just a random question, If you're in packet mode(2G only) and currently browsing/downloading in www, why is it that you can't be called or MT is not coming in. Is this a problem or known fact? will it be possible to change some parameter in E/// system to avoid this.

It is because you do not have optional features.

Classic sollution is Gs interface.
More modern is DTM (Dual Transfer Mode).

Dear Friend.

It depends on NW.
If NW doesn't support in Gs interface, the mobile can't receive Paging for CS. and almost 2G products does not support DTM except 3G mobile.
but Some solutions support that function which MS can receive Paging while Packet transfer mode, but It can be lost some pakcet data.

Hi!

You can use DTM for signalling/paging only. All terminals support it: please note, pre-R97
terminals can not do GPRS ;-) so they do not need it.

Even if u dont have GS interface in huawei paging can be recieved if A Interface Paging Co-ordination Switch" is set to "Open" u can recive paging on A interface if BSS Paging Co-ordination is set to YES
