Hi,
I think most of us are using MapInfo. Recently I am involved in a project that use open-source GIS tool called QGIS (www.qgis.org (http://www.qgis.org)).
I find it is quite useful. The good thing is it support many GIS file format, include Mapinfo Tab file.
