Issues after RAN11 to RAN12 upgrade

Hello Guys

One friend of me is working on HW system and have just upgraded from RAN11 to RAN12. he noticed the following changes in the network performance:

1- RL-Failure_no_reply is reduced significantly (about 85%)
2- Iub congestion reduced
3- CE congesion increased

Any guru who worked on RAN12 can explain this please. thank you :D

Hi qaqa,
Usually with every new RAN Huawei does some improvement in the way their counters are calculated so suppose this is what happened and in your case with the first two cases. Most of the changes (but not all) are written in the documentation coming with the new release so you may check there as well. I've met such behavior when migrated from 10 to 11 however CEs consumption increasement is an issue for sure and maybe the best is to escalate the case to your local support team.
