Hi Tareq.


In my expierence this is responsible for extended coverages. There are also NO Reply in the RNC Borders. This in Borders between RNC's and Borders where the 3G Coverage ends.

Be sure to check that You don't have Co SC.

The worst of the cases is when the nodes are not balanced in the DPU's and SPUS.

Check the subracks are well balanced.

I'm talking of Huawei Vendor.

- you need optimize the coverage.
- May be, it is the UE problem.

RRC is on the layer 3. The problem is somewhere on the Layer 1.

i think it might be because of improper paging power defination or pre rach step power.

Do you have TMA ? If don't , problem may be at the cell border - nodeB don't hear UE's. Try to increase down-tilt in order to reduce cell radius.

if the pb in DL : Increase FACH power
if the pb in UL : site should have high RTWP

U can verify the proplem wheatr is UL or DL only By DT.

Which value of FACH power u recommend if the pb is in DL ? what is the default value?

U`r saying no reply, means you are watching signaling messages in UE side.

Plz have u tried to watch signaling messages in RNC side? if yes (as I hope), does RNC receive the RRC CONNECTION REQ Message?, if yes, Does RNC send the RRC CONNECTION SETUP MESSAGE?, if yes, so the problem is weak FACH Power.

plz try to check as suggested and giv feedback, we can discuss it more.
