Poor MPD in Huawei BSC 6900

Hi,

There was poor MPD observed in BSC 6900 having BTS 3900 after.
The network was previously on e******* & it was swapped to huawei.

Traffic is same, but the drops have increased..can anyone help me in this regard...

the drop reasons are mainly T200 Expire & Radio Link failure

if it is present in all BSC's. there might be some problem with parameter settings... what i am suspecting..

to add to the thread,..the network..previously had baseband hopping & after swap we implemented Rf hopping it....

the MPD was poor ..hence we reverted back to base band..hopping , still no improvement in MPD..

can anyone share some other possible causes influencing high call drop...after swap..from e*******

Can you segregate drop category (Signal Strength/Bad Quality/Sudden/Other/TA ??) Also direction (Uplink/Downlink ?) Because T200 times & Radio link failures indicate poor radio link between MS < ---- > BTS . If we want to draw conclusion about Hardware issue or other things let us answer the above questions.

majority of the drops are due to signal strength & quality in the UL...any other information required, please let me know....

UL drop basically due to Planning issue. If earlier UL (SS & Bad Quality) drop was low comparatively. Through parameter check needs.

If SS and Quality drops are max....RLT values can be increase bit more to reduce Quality drops....


Can u pls share parameter values like

ACCMIN
RLT
T200

Do u have UL and OV together?

these are already mapped to e*******..hence we cannot change the same...as operator has restricted changes on these parameters..

Can u please suggest something else ....

Another cluster swapped ....same result...same dip in MPD...

Pls share ur parameters mapping document....we are also swapped and performace is okey.....if u let me provide i will try to mapp with us and get to back if any unsimilarities...
