Description

PDU Microwave Networks is part of DU IP & Broadband within BNET, headoffice is placed in Mölndal/Gothenburg with sites in Milan, Budapest and Beijing. The PDU MWN pushes innovation and leads the product development in the area of Microwave transmission with high volume products such as MINI-LINK as well known trade marks. E******* is world leader in the Microwave Transmission area and we intend to stay there and improve our position further.

The Technology Provisioning Unit (TPU) Microwave Radio Core has system ownership for microwave radio transceivers, single- and multi-carrier signal processing and traffic handling to be used in MINI-LINK products. We develop, support and maintain world leading microwave and digital ICs and technology platforms around the ICs to enable fast product development.

As Ethernet system developer at the TPU you will together with a team of highly professional colleagues be responsible for all aspects of microwave radio link and traffic management systemization. You will work with architectural definition, break-down of product requirements to implementation requirements, iteration of requirements with higher and lower levels, algorithm development, algorithm verification through simulations and documentation. It is essential that you work closely with team leaders and system colleagues as well as those implementing and verifying the systemization work in HW and/or SW.

Qualifications

Since the features we develop to a large extent sets the overall performance of the MINI-LINK product it is important that you have and excellent ability to innovate, develop and drive technical solutions. You are also open-minded, used at taking own initiatives, have an interest in learning new things and sharing knowledge with others.

Formal competence

* PhD in Computer science or telecommunications or a MSc plus several years of working experience preferably in communications industry
* Systemization and design of Ethernet Switches
* Carrier Grade Ethernet and MEF specifications
* Ethernet Synchronization, IEEE1588, Synchronous Ethernet
* An understanding of packet based telecommunication networks
