Do you mean site with dual-band cells ?

1. Drive to site. In tems investigation lock your phone to cell bcch arfcn and disable HO (intra-cell HO still works ).Then make call (call will be established in inner zone) and drive away from cell to check 1800 --> 900 HO. When intra-cell ho is done , drive back to site to check 900 --> 1800 intra-cell HO. Do this for all sectors.
2. Return phone behavior in default state, make call and drive between sectors to check 1800 <--> 1800 HO's. Do this test near site to be sure that phone will be in inner zone. Note that this isn't "natural" 1800 <--> handover.
3. In tems , set your phone to 900Band only and drive between sectors to check 900 <--> 900 HO's
4. Return phone behavior in default state and drive around to check ho relation with neighbor cells.

If undesired neighbor appear near site, you may use "prevent handover to specified channels" function or "target ho" function to be sure that ho will be done only between sectors in desired site.
Refer to Tems data collection manual for more info how to do that and how to set phone to 900 band only (for test 3 above)

On Nemo Outdoor it's possible to block the mobile on specific frequency and i think that TEMS as also that funtion.

Can do it in phone network settings..or if your tool has locking freq feature..can try that also.

While you are doing DT, you can ask someone near the OMCR to temporarily block one of the TRXs based on the HO you want to test.
For example if you want to test HO btw 900-900 then you can temporarily block 1800 trx from radiating in both source and target cells.
If you want to test 1800-900 then block 900 trx in source and 1800 trx in target. Similarly you can try others.

This method is suitable only if the testing is between few cells.

Hi All,

I think easier way is to push traffic (HO margin PBGT or Umbrella threshold) from 900 to 1800 or whatever during the DT.
Thats all.
In idle mode, just play with Cell reselect offset to select the cell you want

Hi,

You can do two scenarios for testing Ho 900-900 just lock the 1800 DRIs and do the test and for 1800-900 and 900-1800 HO you can play with dual band parameters of the cell you want to test.
