Is it even possible to do that? It would be extremely useful if it was :)

I think that it is possible to configure M2000 to save some Query Results on M2000 server. Than you can download it by FTP to any host.

1. Create templates with necessary counters
2. Task Management -> File Interface -> Performance Data Export -> Extended Parameters -> Template
Choose your templates. The results will be saved in
/export/home/omc/var/fileint/pm/pmexport_2011xxyy/

If you need more complicated reports please use PRS (Performance Report System) or iSStar (script language).

Thanks

Yes. the results is stored on M2000 Server.
I am not sure that default ftpusr has access to this directory.
Maybe it will be necessary to change permissions for it (chmod) or create special user with necessary rights.

i need to get alarm each 15 minutes update
By Task Management (Alarm Data Export) it is possible to export alarms only each hour.

to do these stuff do I have to login as admin ?
Performance Data Export belongs to system tasks. Only the members of Administrator's group can modify them.

I cannot see Performance Report in the report menu, is it normal ?
It means that PRS is not installed.

Thanks in advance,

Hello there,

It depends on how you schedule your report.

Most probably it will be saved on the server itself. If you like I can provide a simple ftp script to transfer it to another destination.

ask your admin for your access in the root folder in the M2000 server so you can automatically dump it in your own pc.

you can use the task management if it is defined in the user account you are using/logged in. Then, you need your admin to grant your access in the root folder because by default, exported files in m2000 is located in the root folder.

I'm looking for format or sample of export performance measurement files (txt or xml), which are being exported from M2000 so they can be used by external tools.
Thx,xero

what's PRS and NASTAR?

Nastar is a system used for the analysis and troubleshooting of quality-related problems on the wireless networks on HUAWEI (including 2G & 3G Network). Data from BSC is transfered to Nastar Server trough SAU Board (so if we want to implement Nastar we should install the SAU Board). Nastar provide several solutions such as : RF Optimization (can provide data like RxLev & RxQual), User Experience Optimization, Service Geographic Observation, etc. As far as I know, Nastar can not provide analysis for drop or fail in GPRS/EDGE.

PRS is iManager Performance Report System used to monitors and analyzes network performance by taking the following measures:

Supporting key performance indicator (KPI) correlation query and drilling
Predicting and customizing reports
Generating and delivering reports on schedule
Providing the KPI dashboard
Providing the KPI benchmark
Predicting traffic trends
Supporting the geographic information system (GIS)
Browsing reports on Web pages
Managing NEs based on areas

The difference between PRS and M2000 is in PRS we can store data as long as we want (depend on the size of HardDisk). PRS can generate automatic report and send to our email or FTP server.

Nastar & PRS need another server that usually different from M2000.

Hello there,

If we are talking about M2000, you need to set the permissions by the administrator. Concerning the format it is a csv file.

:)

Regards,

Dear jimjim,
OSS team has created schedule for me, but
/export/home/omc/var/fileint/pm/
always contains hundereds of files that starts with same name (it's very time consuming to search to get my required file)

Do you know smart way to transfer it to another destination or rename it to be unique and easy to find among thousand files?

tester
2011-12-12, 05:36 AM
As I remember (I'm not sure) the structure of /export/home/omc/var/fileint/pm/ is like this FDN_of_NE/date_time.zip
So it should be not so hard to get necessary files.

justdream

pmresult_

pmresult_1275072534_60_201111230000_201111230100.csv
pmresult_numbercounterthatcontainyourdata_countcycle_date.csv
so you can parsing by _

i explode(parsing name by char) "_"
then i grab the second array
first array is pmresult
secod array is numbercounterthatcontainyourdata
so if you want just only want to download exact file then you can use like this
1.first you need to fid the latest folder or the second folder(yesterday pmresult)
2.you must read all file from those folder
3.separate name by explde with char "_"
4.if contain with xxxxx then download to you server

ofcourse this need scripting
