Hi,
Why do we use 2 antennae with the scanner in 3G drive?
Two Antennas??, One is GPS Receiver and the other is RF receiver.

there are 4 ports, 2 for RF receiver, 1 for GPS receiver and the 4th is for power..so why do we use 2 RF receivers?

I don't know which model is your scanner, but TEMS SRUs offer two antennas, second one is for diversity.

Dual mode scanning (gsm(900/1800) + umts).

Hi
I think you use pctel scanner. Pctel has got 4 ports,
RF1 is CDMA/3G/LTE scanner port
RF2 is GSM scanner port.
GPS port is for external GPS (We dont use gps port, because PCTEL Scanner connect to TEMS and TEMS has got a other GPS)
USB port is use for connect the scanner to PC

RF1 is CDMA/3G/LTE scanner port ;RF2 is GSM scanner port.
