Dear experts
i read the following part in a document

For internal 2G cells, the cell index value range is from 0 to 2047.
For external 2G cells, the cell index value range is from 2048 to 5047.
For external 3G cells, the cell index value range is from 5048 to 8047.

what is the difference between 3 types, why values variation

thanks

Probably to help the engineer to make the difference between internal, external and 3G cells, and the same for adjacency index I suppose.

the main question about the difference between 3 types

2G internal cell means that those cells are defined in the same bsc.
2G/3G external means they are defined in other bsc . That cell has some basic valued defined internally. (BCCH/BSIC/CGI) etc.
