Hi,

I don't have the tool now but from what I remember the neighbours were part of RF Planning data export.
Hope this helps

Of course, you have to create plan, select planned area, etc in the beginning.

when you create plan area in CME its is possible to see neighbors of any cell but i dont know how save.

First, open current. Then synchronize the current.
Create a plan work then synchronize the plan work.
Expand the BSC tree to see sites.
Go to the tab GSM application. In the drop down select export Radio Planning data, select the BSC neighbor relation you need.

Which version of CME do you use?

Do you need to export the neighbor data of some cells in the network or all the cells?

I am using the CME client and in it I just import the latest BSC configuration file and then export 2G RNP Data. All the required neighbours are present in that exported file.

I agree but web LMT format is not friendly like CME

in web LMT you can get it much easily compared to CME, if u want to extract it for 1 BSC...for more than one BSC CME is a better option.

but , still i would insist on web LMT, because CME is not that accurate.................

Hi,

Please find the attached sheet , that i downloaded for checking neighbour relations...

check the sheet if it is usefull... will send u the process to fetch it...

thx man, you are right..
I got your point, we could export this data from BSC Maintenance/ Browse configuration Data

Thanks :handshake

What do you mean by CME is not that accurate. Have you ever experienced inconsistency between LMT data and CME (sync planned area) data. I am curious.

i don't know ..if u have ever worked in a swap night or not...but , if you have ever worked ..you are bound to get this issue..

if u have never worked ...try once...u will get the answer to your questions...

Hello,

@ Maahsan: if you do not synchronize NE, the CME data would not be accurate.
Please find attached the procedure of exporting 2G neighbors using CME.

Dears, I see you are experts in using CME?
What else we could get from CME and to considered as great values in this tool?

It depends on CME version, but in common you can get all configuration data. And check configuration data (possoble to compare all parameters between 2 RNC, between one cell and all cells on your network, possible to find one way neighbours and sites with low number of neighbours or high number...a lot of). And from CME you can create NE's and make changes.

Do you have CME, connected to your network? If yes, i can describe you, or you can try. It is not so difficult.

Hi Friend
As shown in the picture. You can export cell parameters or neighbour definitions from planning data.:)

Thanx for REPs

As additional info you should know that some of the CME funtions are optional features and not include in the basic packet.

Hello CME experts,

Would you kindly give a little explanation about CME for example,

Is it a stand alone tool, or it needs a special server?

How to connect with network elements?

Is it only used for RNC?

:)

Regards,

1) CME embedded in M2000 and as i understand works through M2000 server, so you don't need to have additional server;

2) Via M2000 server. M2000 server has direct connection to all NE's;

3) No it works for BSC and RNC.

Dears,

I have done a little research on configuration related functions that are provided by GENEX NASTAR,

Introduction to configuration analysis

Check the correctness and appropriateness of the configuration parameters. To use this function we need Configuration Data and Project Parameter.
Setting one active RNC configuration file after importing several configuration files.
Browse configuration parameters for RNC and cell.
Configuration parameter handling. Displaying, creating, editing, and deleting.
Comparing MML configuration files.
Generating configuration change comparison report.
Comparing configuration with BaseLine. BaseLine configuration parameter refers to the MML configuration parameter when the RNC ID is 1 and there is only one cell with the ID 0 in the RNC.
This function mainly checks the following four type parameters:

Non-indicator configuration parameter
Indicator configuration parameter
RNC arithmetic switch
Cell arithmetic switch

Can you make a comparison with CME and what it can provide?

:)

Now, I'm using CME to create configuration CE. However, I don't know how to create neighbor by this tool. Anybody have document training? :D

Hello,

@Jimjim:

- Compared with the LMT of BSC6000, the CME supports the multi-user concurrent configuration in online mode.
-The data browsing capability and retrieval capability on the entire network are greatly improved
- The CME provides the function of data check on the entire network before data is activated, including the check for completeness, redundancy, and consistency.
-The CME supports the data rollback in key scenarios.
-The CME supports the parameter comparison. That is, the CME compares the data that has taken effect and the template to check whether data configuration is correct.

BR,

Hello Rimoucha,

It seems that NASTAR has borrowed some functionalities from CME to do its job.

OK, you can use this command to export dump file: EXP CFGMML.
Then, you use tool get data and find path as root/bam/cfgmml and download file that you've just exported.

Best regards,:D

thanks for your reply

i know this command EXP CFGMML , but i want to know which command should i use to extract RNC dump to be used with CME
