Hi,

Does anybody knows how the Erlang s are mapped in 3G Network Physical Layer, In GSM, we know it is corresponding with time slots, as in Is it mapped with Channel Elements or Credits? How physically we can describe this?

Kind Regards,

Hope below helps!!

Pls note CE is the physical entity inside the node-b which performs the wcdma spreading/despreading.

Every vendor may have a mapping of no of CE needed per service.for example the number of CE needed for PS384 > than for a PS 128 > than for a PS 64 > amr call.

on air interface we have upto 256 ovsf codes. For R99 calls the SF is varied to increase the speed, while in the HSDPA the SF is constant.

the basic defination of erlang remains same...just consider above as TCH channels.
