Hi friends,

I have faced a Network level problem

in several BSC in same time drop reason due to Bad quality UL significantly will increase then will return back .A significant peak in TCH drop trend. There is no specific time that it is happening. In this case ICM band on that period will change

What can be the reason? How we can identify the problem?

Any experience?

Thanks

SImply , its an interference. If ICM increases it means theres an interference.

Hi,
yes it's an interference. further you can investigate from stats what are the highest drop sites and then change thier BCCH/TCH accordingly to figure out wheather it's coming from internal/external.:)

Thanks for response. But i am surprised which kind of interference can be?

It is affecting around 10 BSC in same time the effect is distributed in all cell not special cells so it means by changing BCCH we can not get gain!!! For example TCH drop rate will increase from 1% to 5% for 1 hour!!!!

yes, which kind of interference can cause something like that?
how to specify the interference source? so we could take some correction actions..

kindly advice

Analyze cells infected and put them in the map. You might find some military installations?
Normally, UL interference is limited to few cells, and it is easy to locate:
- oscilating repeaters
- TV preamplifiers
- GSM hanged terminal stuck into TX with full power
- jammers for US band can block UL on 900 MHz
- door openers, DECT phones, cordless Hi-Fi headphones
- some TV over the sea, noticeable only in good/rare radio propagations
- any faulty equipment ;-)

With E///, consider using FAS: idle TS are forced to scan whole band, and you can get
quite good idea on nature of interference, how it is moving around etc.

It might be also BSC parameter, if you trigger BQ UL drops too early?

Vendor: Huawei, what do you see?

Hi,

Check for the adjecent freqs. of the neighbouring cells, or u using hopping, check for the HSN, MIAO list etc..
