Hi all :

I have ISHO Problem ..from 3G Huawei to 2G Huawei handover...please support

RAN -11 is the version of 3G RNC,,,

2G neighbors had been defined of the 3G cell

In Idle mode the 3G is reelecting to 2G

In active mode 3G is not able to perform handover

please support in case any parameter must be performed in 3G or 2G needs to be enabled or tuned

You should check HO_INTER_RAT_CS_OUT_SWITCH, HO_INTER_RAT_PS_OUT_SWITCH is ON by command: LST UCORRMALGOSWITCH

hi friend please check on the HO margin of system 3G and check on the RNC and BSC have neighbor each other

Check if InterRAT is enabled at RNC level,feature is ON and whether everything is correctly defined in the CN (outer cells definitions). Can you see from the trace if the RNC sends all messages - for entering compressed mode , Measurement control messages and etc..

Check the GSM cell capability setting, check whether the MSC has "Service Handover Indicator" sent in the "RAB assignment" message not to allow 2G handover, 2D, 2F, 3A, 3C etc. event trigger parameters.

Hi, I hope you have solved your problem right now. But just in case you must do as follows.


Add external GSM cell definition in RNC
Add IRAT neighbors relationship
Turn on IRATHOEN switch in BSC
For the mml commands you can use as example this.

Ok if you have all the neighbour definitions correct, then the problem lies in the core network.

Activate a core trace and have a look at the messages that are coming back from the 2G core in response to the messaging sent from 3G.

Then make sure all of your routing and HLR information is correct, ie routing tables, provisioning, UE capability etc.

This is assuming your neighbour definitions are correct. If they are not then...

Please give more information whether the I-RAT is started or didn't start?
Is the failure in prepartion or execution?
Has the UE entered CM mode or not?
Has the RNC sent the measurement control or not?
