Hello friends!

We need to do "reverse engineering" of BSS 900 MHz networks from time to time.
From drive tests, we need to extract a table with following information:
CGI
approx. location (based on GPS + TA measurements)
BCCH
BSIC
MA list (all TCH used, even if not reported in idle mode)
NR_of_TRX (different MAIO observed during several calls)

from BSC measurements we get BCCH/BSIC pairs for which we need to know details.
We also try to discover neighbor cells by monitoring BA list and lock to them.

We do it with TEMS, but is really time consuming:
- getting FMT files
- manually locking to cells and making calls to get MAIO
- quite often, after handover, cell is not properly identified
- takes a lot of time do do it manually
- importing to TEMS discovery: we tried, but failed to get anything usable

We tried with openmoko a while ago, but it had problems with hanging
when roaming. Not many neighbor countries/borders in Taiwan.

Android looks promissing: has somebody already wrote an app for it?
Samsung seems to have engineering AT comands to do the job.

How about other free/commercial products?
Any good idea where to look?

Thanks,
