Dear Friends,
Can somebody explain how to calculate this parameter in E/// equipment?
1.As we know BSPWR & BSTXPWR are reference point in locating algorithm so how this parameter will calculate? As far as i know for example this parameter will use to calculate BSRXMIN
2.BSPWRB,BSPWRT are real BTS output power for BCCH and TCH
....
It will be helpful if share the formula to calculate this parameters.
Thanks

So interesting but having no reply from all experts.
Can anyone explain more detail?:)

Hi!
BSPWRB/BSPWRT is TX power of TRX before combiners, filters, cables ....
Real power on some point.
I recall many years ago E/// suggested reference point to be in front of antenna!!
They changed opinion. Few times, I guess.
Now, reference point is used for locating: which cell is best for a terminal?
As I can hardly imagine (ok, ok, there are cases) suitability not being related
to BCCH power, I simple keep BSPWR and BSTXPWR on 39.
As a consequence, even on micro/macro border (2W/10W BCCHs) we select best cell based
on pure downlink power.
Remeber basic rule: idle and active mode should be same. Works for me.
Nothing to calculate there ;-)
There are other features like HCS to steer traffic to worse cell.

Thanks for reply,
As we know BSPWR and BSTXPWR will use in locating algorithm then they can change number of HO attempt for cells.Furthermore BSRXMIN calculation is based of this parameters. As far as i know value 39 will keep HO attempt very low.

you use 39 for 900 or 1800 MHz?
