Hello experts,

I'm working on a project for for a Siemens BSC BR9.0 and I'd like to understand the format (or specification) of the scan log file. I want to write a small program to read the data. The file appears to be a binary file with the follow data at the beginning ...

sbs-em-291-2-18-03BSS=BR9.0, O-Interface=8.6.1.1

Can anyone provide me with the file specifications, and the measurement specs, so I know what the file content means? I've attached the sample file.

Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks!

i have a privelege to acces for some BSC (include eBSC with BR9)
But i dont know which file do u mean
coz presently i just get measurement form 3rd application
that have prcessed the file before then produce a good format data (easy-read)

Or can u give me the path in BSC Disk ??

I dont know which directory it came from it was given to me by a customer, and all I want to do is translate the file. I attached a sample in the original post. I believe its a scan log? not sure.

What third party app are you using?

thanks.

I dont have access to the log decoder on the BSC and use the tool.

I just have the SCANCO binary log file. I think there has to be a specification of the file format so that any program can decode the file if you have the record definition etc.

So if you happen to know what this format is, please share

Thanks!

Thanks so much marceloenrique (http://www.finetopix.com/member.php?u=9638)!! I'm able to decode the log file using the Log Decoder (Evolution) and I can produce an output txt file which is great.

Now my second problem. I would like to write my own program to decode the log files so I can produce a custom XML output. OR is there a way to have the BTS produce XML outputs automatically ?

The message decoding logic (or specification) must exist somewhere.

Look forward to any ideas you have.
thanks!

Bro Marceloenrique,

For log file, where can we get ??
Via RC or direct connect to BSC ??
