    Hi,

    MCTR is basically the managed object for one RUS in E*******. There are various RUS variants and each variant has different maximum powers which can be configured(license is required). For example one 80W RUS can have a MAXPWR of 49 dBm and if 4 TRX are configured in one RUS, then 20W will be allocated to each(43 dBm).

    For RUS which are running on less MAXPWR, we can increase the MAXPWR to a higher value depending on the BSC license and get better coverage in the area.

    Hope that is helpful.

    Hi muhammadbillal ,

    thanks for your post, if you develop a little more it will be great, cause i'm still confused about the MCTR, why it's used, what the enhancement ported by using the MCTR.

    regards

    Dear all,

    MCTR is just a managed object for one RUS as I mentioned earlier. Just like for each TRX we have the managed object of RXOTRX.
    The command to check license in BSC is RACLP;
    MCTRPWR40 is 40W license, MCTRPWR60 is 60 W license and so on.
    RXMOP:MO=RXOMCTR-15-0;(where 15 is the TG number and 0 is the MCTR number) is the command to check MAXPWR of an MCTR.
    You can increase 'MAXPWR' to increase the power of the RUS and hence increase the power for each TRX.

    BR,
    Bilal

    Hi Billal,

    Can you share the idea. Why Bandwidth values in each RXOMCTR different ?

    MO RESULT BANDWIDTH MCTRPWR MISMATCH
    RXOMCTR-80-0 CONFIG 88 48 NONE
    RXOMCTR-80-1 CONFIG 68 48 NONE
    RXOMCTR-80-2 CONFIG 120 48 NONE

    because there is different frequencies configured for each cell
    Bandwidth=maxfreq-minfreq
