    Performance Parameter Optimization


    WiMAX Performance Parameter Optimization

    Objectives:
    1. To standardize WiMAX performance parameters used in the live network to facilitate performance maintenance and problem location.
    2. To enable the mature features/functions in batches to improve network KPIs and user service experience.

    Document Description:
    1. Parameter optimization is categorized into problem optimization (mandatory) and recommended optimization.
    2. For problem optimization, live network engineers must adjust relevant parameters according to the application rules.
    3. For recommended optimization, live network engineers can determine whether to adjust parameters according to KPIs. It is recommended to modify the parameters according to the application rules.

    Operation Method:
    1. Obtain the basic configuration of the site, compare it with the WiMAX Performance Parameter Configuration Rules, and modify the parameters according to the descriptions in the Application Principle column. The MML commands used for modification are listed in the Configuration Script column. (If the command execution fails, block the carrier, run the command, and then unblock the carrier.)
    2. Select multiple BSs (three adjacent sites are recommended), modify the parameters of these BSs, and then record the performance measurement information into the Performance Comparison sheet.
    3. After some period (two days are recommended), modify the parameters that reach the expected results according to the analysis results on the Performance Comparison sheet.
    4. Reserve a maximum of two configuration versions for each parameter. It is recommended to use the unified configuration on the whole network.

    Outputs:
    1. Implementation status on the Parameter Optimization Principles sheet in the WiMAX Performance Parameter Configuration Rules, which should be filled by time.
    2. KPI comparison in the Performance Comparison column in the WiMAX Performance Parameter Configuration Rules, which should be filled according to actual tests. (If relevant parameters must be modified, you do not need to fill relevant information.)
    3. Operation Logs sheet in the WiMAX Performance Parameter Configuration Rules. All operations should be recorded in detail according to the examples.
