I agree with rules, its a only way to keep forum neat and clean,,..

because we are not using original software name when we are posting, its not easy to find duplicate post before posting (rule: 1.3 - duplicated posts more than 3 times)..and I am sorry to say finetopix search engine is not that much powerful to find such a post..

    Pls suggest..

    Dear kamy,
I agree with other users - many of us sharing lots of information on free-hosting resources, like 4shared.
Quite often these files are very easy to find by people other than WFA forum users. Hence default password protection for any materials posted outside the forum is kind of protection and limitation of materials availability to active users of the forum. This is actually promoting WFA forum users to exchange and share, rather than just jumping onto free-hosting engines for goodies with no passowrds.

    In overall, great rules.
Sending PM with warning is really good idea, as some users might violate unintentionally. So, give them a chance to correct a mistake.
Repeating offences, especially all these useless thanking in the posts in order to gain some points are very annoying.

I think all the docs & installer if you just used default pw will do or put your pw within the downloaded file..

i learned something from banned user gesang. he put password on his 4shared files, but he mention the pass both on his thread post also in his attachment
i think it's a smart way to make our materials private and exclusive only for WFA forum members, when we put materials in such public online storage
and it's a good thing to do from now on
btw it's confirmed and allowed by moderator kamy

but, put pass on attachment is pathetic

this password thing like a "grey" rule according to me, a rule with exception, if you want to safe then don't give pass on your not med rf software material, otherwise follow the two exceptional case like kamy said..
