Hi All,

i need to draw the drive routes in map info professional for drive testing.

please tell me the procedure for drawing. I already have all the files ready with me to use for mapinfo.

Dear Friend,
find the below mentioned steps for drawing mapinfo drive routes.
1: Active cosmetic layer 1st
2: Click on line marker
3: Draw any line in free space in mapinfo.
4: Double click on line than edit the line as per ur requirement(colour & width)
5: start drawing more lines.

Hey thanks man....
but i still didn't get you. i have mapinfo professional installed on my laptop but i dont know where to start. where do i find active cosmetic layer 1st and all that????
everything is greyout in tools and tabs.

it will be good if you guide me step by step procedure from the begining.

Make a new table and add it the current mapper.
Call this new table Drive Route.

Select the line type and draw with lines.

When finished, click save and save your drive route TAB.

This is the way I make routes for TEMS Investigation in Mapinfo.
When you open Layer control, Cosmetic layer is usually the top most layer (if not, use arrows to get it to the top).
First thing you need to do is make it editable, by clicking the proper box to the right of Cosmetic layer in Layer control (when you do this, draw toos in drawing toolbar will become available - not grayed any more).
Draw the lines which make your route.
At the end go to Map/Save Cosmetic objects and this will save the lines which make your route to a new TAB file. Later you can open it in TEMS Investigation (there you can change it's properties - color and thickness) .
