To rephrase it ... which tool to use to merge gpx files in one ,out of 2-10 files, can be even online tool ... just to have at least - integral file for planning routes out of old drive tests ...
Manually, is possible to join, but need automation, due to many files ..
    Thanks for any thought

Global mapper can import multiple GPX files and then export them all to a single mapinfo file.
If you pass some of the files to me, I will attempt to make a mapinfo tab

    For those that are interested:

Could not get it to work in Global mapper so I used QGIS. Couldn't get global mapper to extract the track_points with attributes.

    Steps:
    1. Open GPX files into QGIS as vector layers. All 3 can be loaded at the same time.
    2. QGIS will prompt for the layer to add. Only add the "track_points". You need to do this for each gpx file
    3. All 3 files should be shown in QGIS. It helps if you load a map into QGIS for reference. I used openstreetmap.
    4. Use the vector - data management tools - merge vector layers to make the mapinfo tab files. Set the destination CRS and save to file as TAB file
    5. There is a lot of data in the file so use "export" "save features as" and only select the ele and time fields. The mapinfo files will be a lot smaller

Additional my comment - to merge multiple gpx files , just enter on web browser (while online) following text within quotation marks "gpx.studio"
It is super easy to drag and drop all gpx files, and then up in the menu there is EXPORT - just ensure to select option MERGE
New file is in the DOWNLOADS folder

To convert that gpx to kml/tab/shp , I use Qgis , with added plugin "GIS Tools" , from where all is easy to convert in 3-4 steps ...
Hope it is useful to someone ...

    BRs, P
