Upgrading STP 8040

Hi guys !

Hope someone will be able to answer my questions

So I have RM 2.8.40.1 and I wanted to upgrade my STP. I managed to upgrade it from 1678 021 02937 to 1711 039 02937 but I can't upgrade it more, even with more recent software in my RM. Do you guys know what could be the problem ?

Another question : Is my RM too old to program newer SC series ?

You have to use newer RM2 too.

I have tested the RM2.19 version and it has SC-series support (later versions too).

What version is software 1711 039 02937?
Not sure if you also need SALT license for STP8000 Series in order to upgrade software inside the radio.

1711 039 02937 is version 10.14-026 and should be flashed to STP8040 using RM 2.8.40.1

Understood, so my RM can support software up to 10.14, and is unfortunately too old to program the newer SC series.

Not sure if you also need SALT license for STP8000 Series in order to upgrade software inside the radio.

AFAIK you don’t need the SALT licence to upgrade a radio, except if it has v10.26 or SC3.1 software, which newer radio has.

for STP and SRG from Software-Version 10.20 (and for SRH-3900 too) and for SC-series from SC1.6
Order number from Sepura is 600-00365, price was 50Euro+VAT / terminal

You need SALT-2 licence:
for SRG3900 and STP-series upgrade to Software V10.24 and SC-series upgrade to Software SC2.0
Order number from Sepura is 600-00378, price was 50Euro+VAT / terminal

You need SALT-3 licence:
for SRG3900 and STP-series upgrade to Software V10.26 and SC-series upgrade to Software SC3.1

I am looking for a firmware for my STP 8000 (current main software was until recently 176000602937) now it is on 00000000 how can I get it restored please help
