    Question HS-SCCH dimensioning - 3G

    Hello Experts,

I would like to ask if there any rules to follow during HS-SCCH dimensioning, we are currently using 3 HS-SCCH channels in all cells, which allow 3 users to be multiplexed in one TTI, what if we reduce it to only one channel? we can save then power and codes resources? but i don't know the drawback of it,

    Thanks,
    Best Regards,

The drawback depends on user behavior. If almost user in your network is data service with large packet size, less small packet size (e.g OTT service), I think no drawback in this case. In verse maybe has.
It also depends on vendor strategy. in E******* System, they try to push maximum resource for the best user, then remain the resource, (if available) servers for the second best user. Then you can see network using almost 1 HS-SCCH even you set 3 HS-SCCHs in the system. Huawei does different way, they push resource for many user as HS-SCCH number.
