Default Subject: measuring GSM UMTS and LTE network parameters - CEPT

Frequency (GSM, UMTS and LTE), code (UMTS), Physical Cell Identifier (LTE) coordination along the border is necessary to avoid interferences between GSM and UMTS/LTE network in border regions.
Relating to the specific “code” (UMTS) and “PCI” (LTE) parameters, the ECC Recommendation (08)02 (Frequency planning and frequency coordination for GSM / UMTS / LTE / WiMAX Land Mobile systems operating within the 900 and 1800 MHz bands) specifies in its Annex 3 the “PREFERENTIAL CODES FOR UMTS (UTRA FDD)” and in its Annex 5 the “PREFERENTIAL PHYSICAL-LAYER CELL IDENTITIES (PCI) FOR LTE”. In cases of harmful interferences, it will be necessary to measure these new parameters.Frequency (GSM, UMTS and LTE), code (UMTS), Physical Cell Identifier (LTE) coordination along the border is necessary to avoid interferences between GSM and UMTS/LTE network in border regions.
